The title of the film is derived from "transhumance", which is the seasonal movement of people and their livestock according to changes in climate. The short film circles around the idea of globalization, a phenomenon that is known to affect national identities and traditions. In the modern world, the protagonist is not able to adapt to progress at the same pace as his surroundings. Simultaneously, he feels alienated from his native environment. Visual effects are used to illustrate the character's fear for the unknown and, also, the dichotomy of modern versus traditional.
